My son was in my home office today and told me that "I don't need you anymore." I pretended to cry and told him that he hurt my feelings. He then pulled my hands away from my face and said "Mommy don't cry, you'll be ok." I looked down at him and said "ok," I knew he was playing and just repeating a line from a movie. However, deep down it hit my "mommy'' heart really hard and made me sad. I know that everyday he is getting older and is growing up and somedays he won't need me "as much." It seems like the first few years you love doing everything for them, but, as they grow you can't wait until they don't call or need you for everything. CALLING ALL MOMMYS......Please leave a comment or your story on my blog.
My wonderful, beautiful, and amazing son told me yesterday, "Mommy you have to learn how to share." I laughed so hard out loud and couldn't wait to share it with the people I love the most. So, I did.....I shared with my mom, sister, and uncle. They all laughed so hard, too, and then told me that he runs the household. Some days, that statement is so, so true and some days I don't mind it at all and then other days, I have to remind him that I am the boss and that he is not the boss of me (LOL).
Anyway, the reason why I am even sharing this, is that he is right. I do have to learn how to share even at 42 years of age, I forget that I should share. So, here is to hoping that I learn how to share asap, so that I will share with all of you through my blogs, websites, emails, and newsletters.
Share and share alike.
Who Am I?
I am a wife, mother, entreprenuer in the making, and an aspiring writer. Corporate America has let me down and brought me back up more times then I care to count or remember. So now, I figured it's time to depend on myself for my own livelihood and to make a difference in the world.
